Breaking It to the Kids that You're Breaking Up

Next offered to the public on August 4, 2015, though private sessions can be scheduled.

Parents don't want their children to suffer because they are separating or divorcing.  So, parents who are contemplating or facing marital separation in Georgia often question how they - individually or jointly - will tell their children.  This class can help answer that question.

We offer parents a "Lunch and Learn" on age-appropriate ways to share this news with children and highlight common and avoidable mistakes.

This course is taught by a therapist who also shares local resources for their children.  Laurie Chandler, LPC, teaches this course at the Atlanta office, and specializes in life transitions.

Pre-registration required.  Please call our office for more information or to pay at the door. Parents need not attend this seminar together, though it is encouraged.  Boxed lunch provided.
